What My Kids Wore #3

I haven't managed to blog in a while; I have filmed a few 'day in the lives' but haven't managed to edit any yet. It's been crazy with 2 little ones, but at the same time I absolutely love it.

I adore this outfit and everyone always comments on it. The jumper has a crocodile on it and the trousers have the spikes up the side, like a crocodile's spine. Jackson also loves it, he thinks it's a dinosaur but we won't get picky about that!
This outfit is a set from Next.

This photo is brilliant, such a serious face and crazy hair!!!!!!!!

Florence is still mainly in babygrows but at the weekend, I like to put her in a little outfit and she always looks so cute. This weekend she wore:
Jumper - The White Company (I have linked a similar one)
Leggings - Next
Socks - ASDA

I love her in white!

The little ears on the jumper are just too cute. This jumper was a present from my mum, which she actually bought for Jackson but forgot to ever give it to him, haha!!

This week we are teaming up with thismamalife's new linky 'What My Kids Wore Wednesday'.

4 Week Update

Here is mine and Florence's 4 week update...

This is the last week that I'll be doing a weekly update, as I will start doing monthly ones from now on, just like I did with Jackson. It's such a lovely thing to look back on (I still like looking back at Jackson's ones).

Mama

Recovery:

Same as last week.

Body:

Lost a bit more weight but similar to last week really - I will focus more on this next month!

Mood:

I have been feeling a lot more stable this week, a few things still play with my emotions but they are mainly happy tears, like when Jackson wants to cuddle or kiss Florrie.

Florence

She still has her cold, but it does seem to be getting much better. We had the prolonged Jaundice clinic appointment too, where they took bloods and a urine sample. We have had the first sets of bloods back already and she was fine. Waiting for the rest of the bloods and urine sample to see if there is any infection.

Milestones:

Florence has had a few more awake moments where she is really focuses on things (she is mainly drawn to light at the moment). We have even had a few good nights sleep too!!!!
I also think that we may have had a cheeky little smile this week!!!

Routine:

Due to her cold, she only feeds for a few minutes each time and then she gets hungry again very quickly. She defiantly prefers to be held too.

Weight:

We haven't got her weighed recently but I do feel that she's put weight on. She is fitting more into her 0-3 month clothes now.

What My Toddler Ate #4

Today, whilst I am writing this blog, it's pancake day! So of course, for breakfast we had pancakes.
This is a normal recipe for me, consisting of banana pancakes with berries.

For a snack, he had a banana.

For lunch, Jackson had this easy 'snacky' type of lunch. He had some Dairylea Dunkers, which he loves as it involves 'dip dip'! On the side, he also had carrot crisps, grapes and olives.
He finished the whole thing and asked for more, so I gave him a cracker and a tangerine too.

For dinner, we were meant to have pancakes again but our pan was so rubbish we gave up!
Instead, we had Spag-bol and a yogurt for pudding.

What My Kids Wore #2

We had a family party to go to at the weekend, and I will use any excuse to dress Jackson up. He wore this white shirt from M&S, which he got for his last birthday, along with these leggings by 'Leshy Lamb', a UK based company. My sister bought them for my birthday with a matching pair for me!!!!

It was also the first time that we got to put Florrie in a proper outfit, as so far she's just been in babygrows. I bought this dress and top from Next - I love the 'Peter Pan Collar' and the colour of the dress. I picked up the tights from Primark for a bargain too. The outfit was all a bit too big for her but she did look mega cute!!!!

3 Week Update

Here is mine and Florence's 3 week update...

Mama

Recovery:

I am feeling almost completely fine, with nothing really to report. I am craving sugar still, I think that this may be to do with breastfeeding, that or I am just greedy!!!

Body:

I weighed myself and I am still over a stone heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight. I am going to worry about this in April, which will give me 4 months to lose weight for my sister's wedding!!!

Mood:

My mood and emotions have again been up and down! I am starting to get very tired too, due to the sleepless nights, so that really isn't helping the situation.

Florence

We went to the Health Visitor and they are still concerned about her jaundice, so we have an appointment booked at the hospital in order to check this out. She has also had her first cold, which has been difficult at times.

Milestones:

Nothing much to say this week, except that she has kind of got confused with day and night - she seems to sleep for most of the day and then be awake for most of the night!

Routine:

Generally its about 2-4 hours between feeds but due to her cold she keeps pulling off the breast, so she has been cluster feeding most of the time. So far, the 'Sleepyhead' cushion has been amazing, meaning she's spent a few good nights in her own bed.

Weight:

She didn't put much on in the last 10 days, now weighing 9lbs 2oz and is only just above the 50th percentile!! I think it's because of her cold, so hopefully she'll get better soon.

What my Kids Wore #1

As I have previously mentioned, I love babies and toddlers in dungarees and one of my favourite places to go for them is Next.

I recently picked up this gorgeous jogger one from Next - I love the hoodie style and the fact it has a zip. I have also paired it with this doggy-print body suit from H&M.

Also, for the first of many editions, I now have my baby girl to dress!!!!! At the moment, she has just been in babygrows, which makes life a lot easier and means she's the most comfortable. We have been given so many lovely babygrows from our friends and family and I have loved them all. This one is from Next, and it is one of my favourites. It's such a beautiful and elegant print.
